ALPI and its unique wood products, together with Piero Lissoni and Patricia Urquiola, for the refined installations at Palazzo Morando, the striking location in Milan’s fashion quad that is transformed, from 6 to 22 October, into a refined Grand Hotel in the new project of Elle Decor Italia. The exhibition itinerary suggests the zones of a hotel, inviting visitors to interact with the space through multimedia installations, for an original interior design concept based on the quality of tailor-made creations and the excellence of the partner companies. A large selection of the woods from the Wood and Designer catalogue collections, and of the Bespoke proposals of ALPI, formulates and enhances all the spaces of the hôtel particulier by Piero Lissoni, conceived as a hotel that becomes an aristocratic refuge. From the Accueil, a reinterpretation of the concept of the reception, removing any barriers between host and guest, to the elegant Fumoir and the Cafe & Restaurant, for maximum social engagement, to the Séjour, which resembles a large domestic living area. The project works on clear contrasts, classic and contemporary, modernity that establishes a dialogue with history. The selected woods also contribute to the narration of this mixture of styles. ALPI products have also been chosen by Patricia Urquiola for the surfaces of the coffee tables, made to measure by Cassina Contract for the third bedroom of Stanzas, conceived for people who travel in groups. About twenty woods have been selected for the communal spaces and rooms. Together, they offer an overview of the variety of ALPI’s proposals, which are perfect for any interior design project. They include the new veneers of the Designer Collection Xilo 2.0 and Tarsie, designed by Lissoni himself.
