nendo is an award-winning design office founded in Tokyo in 2002 by Oki Sato (Toronto, 1977). Its offices in Tokyo and Milan create architecture, interiors, products and graphics. nendo designs are found in museum collections including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
nendo designed the Olympic cauldron for the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. Currently, it is working on the design of the new TGV high-speed train set to begin operation in France this year. Additionally, the office serves as the general designer and general producer of the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai (13.4–13.10.2025).
